Celebrating 30 Years of Excellence: Kevin Schult’s Incredible Journey at Liberty Pattern

Today, we honor a true cornerstone of Liberty Pattern—Kevin Schult—on his 30th work anniversary. It’s a milestone that speaks not only to his dedication and craftsmanship, but also to the lasting impact he’s made on all of us who’ve had the privilege to work alongside him.

Kevin began his journey three decades straight out of high school ago as a bench patternmaker, learning the trade hands-on, one project at a time. From the very beginning, his relentless work ethic and determination stood out. He later transitioned into the CNC department, where he didn’t just adapt—he mastered it. Today, Kevin is widely recognized as the cornerstone of the team, consistently counted on to deliver when it matters most.

Kevin’s influence at Liberty Pattern goes far beyond his work ethic. Over the years, he’s become a mentor, a steady hand, and a source of both humor and humility. His commitment to excellence sets the bar for what it means to be a professional in our trade.

And then there’s Chewy Day—a Liberty Pattern tradition named in Kevin’s honor. For those who don’t know, “Chewy” is Kevin’s nickname, and Chewy Day is more than just a celebration of his contributions. It’s a recognition of the spirit he brings to the shop: hardworking, humble, loyal, and always ready to lend a hand (or a well-timed wisecrack). On Chewy Day, we remember not just what Kevin has done, but what he means to this team.

Kevin’s 30-year legacy is built on thousands of hours of skilled labor, mentorship, and teamwork. He’s not only shaped patterns—he’s helped shape Liberty Pattern into what it is today.

Congratulations, Kevin, and thank you for everything. Here’s to you, to Chewy Day, and to the impact one dedicated craftsman can make over a lifetime.
